Under Gods: stories from the Soho Road

Liz Hingley presents the multifaceted colourful world of Soho Road in Birmingham. The city in which she grew up is now home to over 90 different nationalities. Between 2007-2009, Liz investigated urban faith to create a lasting documentation of the cities rich cultural diversities and religious practices.

The photographs intimately document the different communities along this one road whilst at the same time speaking about wider issues in contemporary urban experience such as immigration, secularism and religious revival.
